If you didn't have the chance to watch the Sugar Bowl last night, you missed out, Utah is officially the only Division one team that is Undefeated. Will they be National Champions? No. Should they be National Champions, yes, I believe so. And just to make sure you all know that I am not a fair weather fan jumping on the band wagon because of success I became a Ute fan during the 80's attending games with my grandfather during their 28 year stretch of not going to a bowl game that ended in 1992. I am still a Ute fan now, when they have the longest winning streak in the Country and the longest bowl winning streak in the country.
Needless to say I love college football, I love the intensity of the game, and yes sometimes I may get a little loud, but I especially love my Utes, and today I love them more for making the announcers have to eat a little crow. Some of the quotes I heard as the game began were 1) "Anyone living outside the State of Utah that isn't a University of Utah Alum, knows that Alabama is going to win this game." or 2) "Alabama would not recruit a single player on Utah's team"
I won't go on with my soapbox for too much longer all I have to say is Great Job Utes, not only did you win, you made Alabama who for their entire season prior to last night only trailed in games for 45 mintues combined, trail for the entire game. Good Job and thanks for a great Season!
